Chapter 5: “The Rain before the Storm”

“Are you ready yet?” Kaleigh asked in an annoyed voice. ” Why do you care?” Tarah replied.

“Because we are going to be late?” she said. “Kaleigh we still have 45 minutes to get there, and the school is only 5 minutes from our house” Tarah laughed.

Okay so maybe she was just a little antsy and wanted to get to the school.  It was there graduation day. She was so excited. She could barely contain all the feelings she had. She just wanted to see all her classmates and have a great day, it was going to be a monumental day. She could feel it.

As they walked to the school in there perfect little dresses. They talked, they laughed, they remembered. How could you forget a great five years like that.

And as they were excited to graduate and be done they were also nervous. They didn’t know what to expect out of University and having to meet all new people as they were taking different programs. They had never been in different programs in school.. I mean a few different classes but they also had a lot together. So to say the least it would be a change.

As the awards banquet proceeded, everyone winning there bursaries and scholarships., Kaleigh, Tarah and all their best friends from high school celebrated and laughed and just enjoyed their final day at High school.

The awards banquet finished and they all left with a great deal of bursaries and scholarships and were all very happy. They would have some money to get there careers started at school. So with that in tow they left their high school behind.

And with it they left a big thank you to all the teachers and coaches who had molded them into part of who they were and who they would become. Kaleigh had a slight feeling of sadness. It washed over her as she was leaving the front doors. A feeling as though she was going to miss this place. That maybe she wasn’t going to find something better then all the friends, sports, memories she had had this past 5 years at high school. Could this have been, “the best time of her life?”

They left the front doors for maybe their last times , laughing, talking, remembering. They were ready. They were able. They were trained. They were disciplined. They knew they wanted great things in all of their lives. Kaleigh just could not shake this unwary feeling.  She was feeling sad that she would not be coming back for another year of sports and friends and fun. But, she knew in her heart she “wanted” more then this. And she was going to University to prove that, To prove she could excel there as well.

Kaleigh and Tarah walked home and shared in all there awards and accomplishments.

And then it was bed time.

. But tonight, Kaleigh went to bed thinking, this University “thing,” was going to be a piece of cake.

She awoke sweating and in a Panic.. “What time is it?” “Where am I?” Kaleigh questioned her troubled mind. She couldn’t stop thinking she had been taken somewhere. That had to be a nightmare but, oh my god, that was all to real she thought. But shortly dosed back off…

To be continued…. ( Chapter 6 to come : The new ( The Storm) Chapter, I think… Ha haa, it is definitely a work in progress.

Until Next Time,
